James M. Johnston’s “Knife” is another short narrative selection for our Texas Show, Sunday Sept 25th at 9 PM at the Texas Theatre . It is a tale of revenge set in a rural Texas town that showcases beautiful imagery and fantastic character work. James M. Johnston is no stranger to the festival circuit. He co-produced fellow filmmaker David Lowery’s short film “Pioneer,” which has been called one of the years best shorts. Knife stars Charles Baker in the lead role and will appear as part of our Texas Show. Here is an article which contains a section speaking of “Pioneer’s” selection into the Sundance Institute.
